FAQ's

  • Why does my CPAP equipment need cleaning?

Virused or germs from your lungs, throat, or mouth can get into the CPAP mask or hose as you breathe in and out during sleep, or germs on your skin may get transferred to the CPAP mask or hose. Dust, mold, or other allergens may also get into the CPAP mask or hose.

All types of CPAP devices need to be cleaned regularly so that these germs and contaminants do not grow inside of your machine and make you sick. Dust and dirt can also cause problems with the device, making it more likely to break or need replacement.

  • Is it worth invest in a cleaning machine?

Using warm water, mask wipes or a toothbrush and dish soap will keep your mask clean enough night-to-night, but you need to do a thorough cleaning regularly to ensure your device keeps you healthy. Plus, sanitizing machines are much less time-consuming than hand cleaning. While the machines are an investment, you’ll get a great return with regular cleaning in the increased lifetime and health benefits of a CPAP cleaner!

  • Is the O3N device harmful to me or the environment?

It is completely safe when used as directed, in an unoccupied space, such as our sanitizing bag or sealable tote. When it is concentrated within a sanitizing bag, it works as a sanitizing agent to kill live bacteria and any living particles things. And, when the sanitizing process is complete, the ozone will quickly dissipate when contacts with the air. Users should always follow the instructions and avoid direct exposure to O3.

  • Which CPAP mask and hose will work with my machine?

All CPAP masks and CPAP tubing are made to a standard size. Because of this, you can choose any mask to use with your CPAP or BiLevel machine. You should choose your CPAP mask based on previous good experiences with a mask, a doctor's recommendation based upon your sleep study, or suggestions from CPAP providers who have experience in this field.

  • Why do I smell ozone while the CZ001 is running?

First, please make sure the Clyn CZ001 lid is shut securely and that your CPAP cleaner and sanitizer is connected to the CZ001 securely. Some ozone molecules may escape into the air, but they will be so dispersed in the volume of air in the room, and will not pose a hazard.

  • Does the Clyn CZ001 use chemicals to clean?

No, your Clyn CZ001 converts room air into activated oxygen (O3) by adding one little molecule of oxygen, an atom. There are no added chemicals, solvents, or liquids used by your device to sanitize.

  • Which CPAP device is easiest for people who travel often?

The Clyn CZ001 CPAP device is an amazing solution for CPAP users who need a compact, travel-friendly machine. Weighing in at 0.5 pounds and standing only 4.3 inches tall, the Clyn CPAP device is conveniently small and lightweight, perfect for a suitcase or bedside table.
